WORSHIP CELEBRATION
FOR 1st - 3rd GRADERS
What to expect:
SNiK is located on the second floor of the Children’s Center. A greeter will be at the bottom of the stairs to welcome both the child and the parent. Once they have reached the second floor, all children will be checked in on the south side. To check in, the parent will swipe their personal identification tag under the scanner and then receive their child’s nametag. They will walk their child to the south theater. In the theater, the child will be greeted by leaders and have an opportunity to play games and interact with friends. Every other week is popcorn/nacho night and the kids get to enjoy those treats during this relational time. Around 5:10, we pick up the games and line up at the door. Now they are ready to transition to the north theater for the large group worship experience followed by small group time.
Large Group Worship:
Children will enjoy singing, movement, puppets and an interactive Bible lesson. The lesson focuses on one truth from the Bible in a creative way in which children may learn to apply this truth to their everyday lives. Following worship, the children will go with their leader to their small group rooms.
Small Group Time:
The small group time is a vital part of your child’s church experience. Small groups are designed to place children from the same grade and often same region(i.e. north, south) together. This helps the child feel that they have a place to belong, be known and be loved. In small group time, children will have hands-on activities and intentional guidance from their leader to reinforce the teaching of the day.
Check-out Process:
At the end of the service, parents will return to the Children’s Center and swipe their personal identification tag under the check out scanner located on the first floor of the Children’s Center. This process will issue a receipt to the parent with the child’s name. It is given to the child’s small group leader. The leader will match the receipt with the child’s name tag and then release the child to the parent. A child will not be released to a parent without presentation of his or her corresponding tag.
Parents may check in their children at any check-in station, then walk their children to their appropriate places.
